About the author
My name is Charles, and I have been reading literature about computer design, programming, operating systems, data storage and transmission systems since I was in school. Even before I got my first computer in 1997. Since that moment and to this day, for 26 years now, the computer for me is a tool, a hobby, a job and a source of knowledge.
My professional path included higher education, positions from technical support specialist to “manager of new technologies” in a regional telecom operator, system administrator, programmer at a manufacturing enterprise, field technical support of equipment of legal entities within the framework of cooperation with a federal system integrator.
At the beginning of my path I had a chance to work for some time as a specialist in computer repair for individuals with a home visit in several companies, two of which are not those whose services I would recommend to apply to.
It was during this work and the idea of creating a website was born.
